Product Brands are the companies are licensed to create and distribute products under their own name, such as Paul Mitchell™ or Redken™. SuperSalon can be configured to recognize these brands via the interface located in the Products submenu of the Manager menu.
Breakdown of the Brands Menu Submenu
Located in Manager > Products > Brands, this area of SuperSalon allows users to add, view, and edit all brands they are working with. The breakdown of this interface is as follows:
- Add Brand: When used, this button will open a blank brand profile for the user to enter information for a new Product Brand.
- Show Deleted: This button will display all the brands that have been discontinued, and allows users to add them to the “Brands List” again when needed.
- Brands List: This section of the interface displays all of the currently used Product Brands for the salon.
Adding a New Product Brand to SuperSalon
When companies acquire new partnerships and new outlets for their products, entering that new brand into the system is quite easy. Shown below are the illustrated steps involved in adding a new product brand to the SuperSalon point-of-sale.
Step 1: From anywhere in SuperSalon, enter the Manager menu.
Step 2: In the Manager menu, click or tap on the “Products” submenu, listed alphabetically on the left.
Step 3: Click or tap on the “Product Brand” button located in the upper button array of the submenu.
Step 4: Click or tap on the “Add Brand” button located at the top.
Step 5: In the given text fields, enter the “Code” and “Name” of the brand being entered.
Step 6: Click or tap on the “Save” button.
Editing an Existing Product Brand
After the new Product Brand has been entered into SuperSalon, it can then be edited at a later date when needed by following the illustrated steps shown below.
Step 1: From anywhere in SuperSalon, enter the Manager menu.
Step 2: In the Manager menu, click or tap on the “Products” submenu, listed alphabetically on the left.
Step 3: Click or tap on the “Product Brand” button located in the upper but an array of the submenu.
Step 4: Click or tap on the Product Brand to be edited in the “Brands List” roster.
Step 5: Make any needed changes to the Product Brand.
Step 6: Click or tap on the “Save” button.
