Using SuperSalon Customer Points for Services

In addition to customized gift certificates, series sales and other powerful customer retention tools, SuperSalon also delivers a powerful points system for salon clients. The SuperSalon Customer Points feature provides free or discounted services to help you drive customer loyalty. This article provides an overview of Customer Points and illustrates how they are used at the point of sale.

Assigning Points to Services
The illustrated example below shows a haircut service with its points information highlighted. This area of the Services profile page gives you the following three options:

  • # Points to Credit
    This text field is where the point value of the service is assigned. For locations that prefer fractional points, values can be entered as .25 for a quarter point, .5 for a half point and so on.
  • # Points to Redeem
    The amount of points that need to be accumulated in order for the client to receive the discount.
  • Discount to Use When Redeeming Service
    This drop-down menu allows you to select the discount that will be applied when the client redeems their points.

Redeeming Customer Points at Checkout

Step One
When your client’s ticket is sent to checkout after servicing, the customer’s points balance will be displayed in the left section, as shown below. In this case, Bob has more than the five points required to redeem for this haircut.

Step Two

The user can now select the ‘edit’ button, located in the ticket summary.

Step Three

From the Edit Transaction pop-up, select the ‘Redeem Points’ button, as shown below.

Step Four

The points will now be applied to the sale and the summary and totals will both be adjusted. Depending on how the discount was set up, the service may even be free, as in our example. The ticket can then be rung out normally at the payment screen by clicking or tapping Send to Payment.

Like all other processes in SuperSalon, the Customer Points system is intuitive and easy to learn. For building customer loyalty, the Customer Points system is the most powerful tool there is.
