Below are the detailed components of the new 5.8.5.3.2 release of the SuperSalon point-of-sale. The internal ticket numbers are also referenced with each entry. Clients who have submitted improvement requests can find theirs by using Ctrl + F on the keyboard, type their number, and hit enter to see its entry.
Enhancements and Improvements
- Tickets can now become Appointments with the addition of new coding that enables this feature, and prevents duration mismatch (TT61797).
- Supplemental coding in place to enable the new “Allow Tickets to become Appointments” feature to factor employee Service Times (TT61796).
- Additional coding crafted to prevent the new “Allow Tickets to become Appointments” feature from breaking the Servicing functionality from the Ticket Options interface (TT62148).
- The ticket processing functionality of SuperSalon has been enhanced to accommodate tickets that become Appointments are shown as unscheduled after a void (TT62077).
- The Closeout submenu of SuperSalon now includes the “Recover Checkout Tickets” Utility so that users do not have to leave the interface in the event of stuck tickets (TT59288).
- The move of the “Recover Checkout Tickets” Utility has been configured to work correctly with the “Require all tickets closed before closeout” Software Setting (TT62151).
- Users are now able to delete Haircut Notes from a client’s Customer Profile (TT62385).
- Perm and Color notes are also now able to be deleted from Customer Profiles (TT62441).
- The Timeclock now filters employees by name and number when entered into the search field (TT62378).
- Added a new line break to accommodate new tokens from the Monetra server at Securenet due to a minimum wage change (TT61898).
- Adjusted the Closeout feature of SuperSalon to accommodate local membership tokens communicating with the Monetra server (TT62475).
- Expanded SuperSalon’s customization features to allow for different international date and time formats (TT61985).
- The Payroll Report was expanded to include bottle count as a part of an employee bonus program (TT60991).
- A page break option was added to the Technician Daily Sales report to allow for users to save paper with a more consolidated output (TT61718).
- Added a page break to the hardcopy output of the Evaluation print out in order to save paper and be more legible (TT61895).
Bugs and Issues Corrected
- Duplicate errors and Transaction failures were being caused by incongruent timeouts, and were resolved via the workflow of two tickets (TT61235/TT62098).
- Some salons utilizing the TSYS integrated payment solution were getting false timeouts in the Credit Card report (TT62152).
- The Credit Card report was not correctly tabulating manual transactions for some locations utilizing the TSYS integrated payment solution (TT62184).
- Instances were found in the Centralized Customer Database where gift certificates were not being correctly updated (TT62192).
- The Search Sales submenu was incorrectly displaying a voided ticket as “Completed” in a location running the TSYS integrated payment solution (TT62206).
- Commission Plans were unable to add customized Service Categories in their payroll calculations (TT61232).
- The allowed Service Categories were displaying vestigial categories that were not assigned to any current Services (TT61905).
- Users were getting browser errors when selecting Services prior to staff members when changing tickets to Appointments (TT61986).
- Some locations had clocked out staff members appearing in the Employee Lookup screens when processing tickets or other tasks (TT62593).
- The SMS Return Visit Reminder message was not being sent from the POS in some locations after the ticket was sent to the checkout process (TT61668).
- The Stylist Evaluation report would not correctly populate all data due to the wrong database table being queried (TT61689).
- SMS messages were not sending from the SuperSalon POS at the correct times due to unexpected settings changes (TT61826).
- Locations for a specific company had issues with their memberships correctly updating after purchases (TT62039).
- The End of Day report was not correctly calculating gift certificate sales in the appropriate totals columns for a specific organization (TT62147).
- Users printing the Guest Itinerary from the receipt printer were experiencing an unexpected error as some locations (TT62159).
- Users of the SMS feature in the United Kingdom were having difficulty sending messages due to differing telephony numeric formats (TT62183).
- The Import Count feature of SuperSalon was not correctly functioning for a specific organization (TT62478).
- The XML version of the Discount List was not displaying correctly after a recent modification (TT60931).
- The Service List XML was not behaving correctly when items in the list were recently modified (TT60930).
- The Daily Payroll Summary report was not generating correctly for locations using the VAT system of tax collection (TT61819).
- The Mini Production report was not tabulating employee total hours correctly for an employee at a specific location (TT61876).
- There was a slight sporadic discrepancy in the “Employee Totals” section of the Production report (TT62146).
- The Salon Summary report for a location was using incorrect logic due to time zone impacts (TT62251).
- Some locations were experiencing difficulties with attaching a replacement tax to a specific product (TT61505).
- Duplicate pseudo-appointments were being generated by SuperSalon due to a loophole that has been corrected with this update (TT61792).
- Custom employee Service Times were not showing up correctly in the “Appointment Duration” window of the Appointment Book (TT61812).
- The “Customer Source” selection feature was not appearing correctly when Appointments were created through the “Suggest Schedules” method (TT61839).
- Creating an Appointment through the “Suggest Schedules” workflow would occasionally result in the “OK” button not working correctly (TT61840).
- The “Cash Check” column underneath the Closeout Totals section of the Monthly Financial report was not calculating correctly (TT59548).
- Some reports for various locations were not generating correctly due to the Transaction Tax not tabulating correctly (TT60544).
- Prepaid tickets were not correctly tabulating their Service Times for some locations in the Search Sales submenu (TT61182).
- The Timeclock report was taking an unacceptably long time to calculate its figures and generate its output (TT62110).
- The “History” section of the Customer Profile was showing an incorrect time span for gift certificate purchases (TT62140).
- The Series Sale section of the Customer Profile was generating as a blank page (TT62141).
- For reporting purposes, discounts on Refunds are no longer tabulated by SuperSalon, and must be input manually if a product is refunded with a discount (TT62180).
- Creating an appointment via the Appointment Book would occasionally result in a system freeze that required a restart of services (TT62299).
- The Production report was only showing “Store Totals” as opposed to “All Employees” when selected from the report drop-down (TT62387).
- Users were experiencing difficulty restricting staff members from doing specific services due to an issue with the “Available Services” not communicating correctly with the Appointment Book (TT62445).
- The Appointment Book was not refreshing correctly after in appointments duration was changed by a user (TT62474).
- The “Check Database Structure” utility was functioning in a way that it always showed 2 field changes where there should have been none (TT62483).
- The scrolling feature of the Appointment Book was not allowing users to scroll through the results (TT62484).
- A cryptic “Unknown Department” was showing up in the Salon Summary of a specific location (TT62580).
- When the “Edit Commission” feature was used in the Checkout process of the ticket workflow, they would often be a mismatch in the line item display (TT62482).
Backend/Maintenance
- The previously deleted information was added back to show on the Membership Array (TT61854).
- The script that calculated payroll on a daily basis was improved to allow for better communication with established upload interval times (TT61913).
