The Permissions settings in SuperSalon’s point of sale are the first line of security for accessing critical areas of the system. With them, owners and managers can determine who has access to each part of the POS and at what level. And, reports like the audit trail can track who uses these permissions and when.
The Permissions settings are distributed between the various Permission Groups that are established for each employee position. The example below shows these Permission Groups, accessed by selecting Setup> Permissions> Permission Groups. This article will give you step-by-step instructions for creating a new Permission Group in SuperSalon 5.8.
Step One
From the Permissions sub-menu, tap or click the Create New Permissions Group button, located in the upper array.
Step Two
Use this area to assign a unique name to the new Permission Group. These can reflect the position or tasks being performed. In this example, we used Night Manager for our new Permission Group.
Step Three
After assigning a name to the new Permission Group, you can now select Continue to save the group in SuperSalon’s POS.
Step Four
As shown in our example below, once saved, the new Permission Group appears in the group list on the left side of the Permissions interface.
Your new Permission Group can now be employed for a single location, or synchronized across multiple salons at once (using the iOffice Salon Sync feature).
