On January 12, 2016, Microsoft ends its support for Windows 8.0, along with Internet Explorer 8, 9 and 10.
For Windows users who have already updated to Windows 8.1, Microsoft’s mainstream support will continue until January 10, 2023.
End of support means that Microsoft will no longer publish security patches or provide technical support for products at the end of their lifecycle. Internet Explorer 11 will continue to be supported and Microsoft recommends upgrading to IE 11 before removing older versions of the browser.
This change doesn’t directly impact the functionality of SuperSalon’s POS or iOffice and both platforms are tested compatible with Windows 10. However, for use with iOffice, we recommend Google’s Chrome browser for optimal salon PC performance and security.
If you plan to update to Windows 10, it’s important to ensure that peripheral devices, such as printers, touchscreens and card readers, are compatible.
