SuperSalon has an opening for an IT Systems Administrator. The Systems Administrator will work with all aspects of the IT infrastructure including network, servers, security and data management with a strong focus on availability, performance, security, stability and scalability.
This position includes the design, implementation, configuration, coordination, and maintenance of IT systems and related services, primarily web and database servers, and related systems in an enterprise environment.
Up-time is critical, so we need strong processes and planning. CAB will be employed for all changes.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
Strong experience with Linux Ubuntu / LAMP stack
Strong experience with MySQL 5
Experience with Asterisk VOIP systems
Experience with Zabbix monitoring
Knowledge of installations, upgrades and troubleshooting of OSS / LAMP software
Strong technical aptitude and ability to research and solve complex issues independently
Ability to work independently, from home, with minimum supervision as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Occasional evening and weekend work will be required
Oriented toward process, follow-through & validation
Perform proactive monitoring of all servers, data storage, applications and services using a combination of tools to ensure high availability
Perform support tasks such as running queries, moving databases, etc.
Assist in maintenance of VOIP phones
Use and understand network monitoring and optimization tools. Review logs and trafﬁc reports
Maintain ﬁrewall, anti-virus and intrusion detection solutions
Provide monitoring and primary response and intervention for IT related security incidents and violations
Ensure regular and on-demand system backups and data are available
Assist in maintaining server level disaster recovery plans
Enforce proper production code management procedures to ensure successful deployment and minimal service interruption
Prepare project plans, schedules and budgets for new installations and systems upgrades
Rigorously create and maintain documentation for all processes and procedures
Work closely with the support team to provide end-user support and issue resolution
