Restricting access to certain areas of SuperSalon’s point of sale is an important security measure that ensures the integrity of your system. Security issues, both internal and external, can be prevented with just a few configurations in SuperSalon’s Permissions settings.
Here, we will show you the process for creating a new Permission Group and how you can apply it to specific employees. Though typically assigned and named after specific positions, SuperSalon users also have the option to create customized Permission Groups that can be applied and removed as needed.
As an example, you might find it necessary to temporarily assign responsibilities to an alternative employee when a manager cannot be onsite. Exchanging that employee’s current Permission Group with another, customized group can make for a seamless transition.
To create a new Permission Group, select the Manager menu, then Permissions and click or tap the “Create New Permissions Group” button highlighted below:
You will then need to assign a name to the new Permission Group. Our example below shows this to be a temporary permission. Clicking the “Continue” button will lock the new Permission Group into SuperSalon.
As shown below, the new Permission Group can now be configured to suit the needs of any role.
Applying the new Permission Group requires access to the Employees sub-menu in SuperSalon or access to iOffice. Clicking the employee’s name will bring up their individual roster and the temporary Permission Group can be applied directly from this screen.
This new Permission Group can include access to some of the manager’s tasks and can be removed from the employee when it’s no longer needed.
Many SuperSalon users utilize several Permission Groups to fully control every detail of access to the point of sale and interchange them between employees, depending on varying roles throughout the week.
