Creating a New Package in SuperSalon

The package feature in SuperSalon salon management software allows business owners and managers the ability to bundle retail products and services together and sell them at a single price. These packages can be for special promotions or a regular part of the salon’s offerings.

This article will show the step-by-step process for creating a package sale that includes both a service and retail product. The steps shown are for SuperSalon version 5.8. Click the images to enlarge.

Step One
From anywhere in the SuperSalon point of sale, click or tap on the Manager menu and then the Packages sub-menu, as shown below.


Step Two
The Packages sub-menu will display  all of the currently configured packages, and it gives you the ability to edit or delete them as needed. Type in a name and price in the two text fields shown below.


Step Three
With the name and price selected, the next step is to click or tap the Add Package button, shown below.


Step Four
This adds the new package to the list of currently configured packages. To begin adding items to this package, click the Edit button.


Step Five
The Action Menu is where you set the validity dates and the items for this package. Enter both the Valid From and Valid Up To dates in the text field shown below.


Step Six
After the dates have been selected, add the items you would like to include in this package by using the Item Add Lookup text field. This searches for products and services based on name, UPC code or description. When finished, click the Save button to store the new package.


Once completed, the new package will be available for sale at SuperSalon’s Checkout screen. Package deals make excellent holiday promotions and can be useful for moving inventory.
