A Closer Look at Customer Preferences

Being able to collect and store as much information as possible about your clients is a critical piece to drive the success of your business. At Rogers Software Development, we’ve recognized this value for robust data collection, as well as detailed customer profiles, and incorporated these features into our SuperSalon POS as of the first release of the software.

The purpose of this article is to explain one of the most important sections of the Customer Profile: Customer Preferences.

To take a closer look at Customer Preferences, navigate to the Manager tab, then Customers sub-menu. Search for the desired client and tap or click their entry. In their Customer Profile, the Customer Preferences interface is located at the far right bottom, shown here:

Once you’ve entered the Customer Preferences interface, you are presented with five settings – each corresponding to a different aspect of the client’s experience. This section deals primarily with voluntary opt-ins as opposed to raw data or contact details.

  • If this option and “Send SMS” are both selected, an SMS will be sent to remind customers they are due to return for service

Allow Mailings

Enable SalonCheckin

  • Functionality requires SalonCheckIn service to be enabled
  • When checked, creates a user account for that guest in SalonCheckIn without them having to register manually
  • A welcome email is sent to the address on record. This allows salons to invite their guests to use SCI. The welcome email is queued immediately when the option is “checked” and the customer profile is saved.
